Single Tasking rather then Multi Tasking

Hi,

I am excited to present the first blog post. We are in the heat of summer in Jerusalem and enjoying every minute of it. As a pilates instructor I wear many different hats whether I'm a teacher, admin assistant, social media specialist and sometimes friend. It means that one is jumping from teaching to scheduling to chasing payments and paying bills, organizing and maintaining my social media and lots more. Being productive and knowing how to best manage my time over the course of a day is crucial let alone in through week or a month.

Research shows that single-tasking not multi-tasking is the way forwards if you want productivity. Doing multiple tasks at once makes you LESS productive (this is especially for all you women out there) Single-tasking means doing one activity at a time with few distractions as possible. For me this means blocking out time in my schedule to focus on specifics. Having this in my life has given me peace of mind as well as productivity,

My Top tip is: switch off your phone at 2 different intervals during the day, write a task list and complete one task at a time. Give yourself a short break to refresh your mind.
